I have always loved microsoft paint and spent a large amount of time at school neglecting maths so as I could spray paint pink electronic dicks onto my mate's heads.
I like that it's not perfect & the process can be enormously time consuming in contrast to modern editing software. It's beauty is it's overt shitness.
